Introduction to water confidence/swimming lessons

Introduction to water confidence/swimming lessons

Introduction to water confidence/swimming lessons

Suitable for dogs aged 6 months and older.


Carried out in a relaxed and enjoyable, confidence building environment by an experienced therapist who is a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Physiotherapist and Advanced Hydrotherapist.


Session 1 Wk 1 (30 minutes)

  • Introduction to the therapist, environment and equipment to ensure confidence ready for first session in the hydrotherapy pool.
  • Full body assessment to check for any tension or discomfort that can hinder swimming techniques, and to introduce touch and handling to build a confident relationship with the therapist.


Session 2 Wk 2 (30 minutes)

  • Introduction to the hydrotherapy pool.
  • Building confidence and encouraging relaxation in the pool.
  • Introduction to swimming (at your dogs own pace).
  • Shower rinse off and shammy dry, using relaxing treatment techniques.


Session 3 Wk 3 (30 minutes)

  • Hydrotherapy pool session working on correct swimming techniques.
  • Shower rinse off and shammy dry, using relaxing treatment techniques.


Session 4 Wk 4 (30 minutes)

  • Hydrotherapy pool session continuing work on correct swimming techniques.
  • Shower rinse off and shammy dry, using relaxing treatment techniques.


This 4 session introductory course costs £145 and runs over 4 weeks.

Further individual sessions can be booked at a cost of £35 each.

Canine Massage & Myofascial Body Work Treatments

Suitable for all dogs who are not currently recovering from injury, surgery/illness, or have any orthopaedic or neurological conditions. 


(If your dog has any of these complications then a full physiotherapy assessment and treatment can be booked instead).


Carried out in a relaxed environment by an experienced therapist who is a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Physiotherapist and Advanced Hydrotherapist.


Canine Massage is ideal for:

  • Improving movement, function and performance.
  • Improving mental focus, general wellbeing, quality of life, health and behaviour.
  • Improving touch awareness and acceptance for petting, grooming and veterinary examination.
  • Easing muscular pain and discomfort.
  • Resolving soft tissue injuries.
  • Increasing senior dogs comfort and mobility.
  • Performance enhancement.
  • Relieving stiffness and soreness.
  • Increasing energy and vitality.
  • Improving sleep and rest.
  • Improving cardiovascular health.
  • Improving balance, proprioception (the body’s ability to sense movement, action and location), strength and stability.


Each session costs £55.00,  runs for up to 45 minutes, and is tailored to your dogs individual needs and response to massage.
